Bank Notes and other obligations for the payment of money issued by the Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation in the Colony for local circulation and payable to bearer on demand issued and in actual circulation to an amount in excess of the capital of the said Corporation actually paid up under the provisions of section 3 of the Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Ordi-

1899, (Ordinance No. 1 of 1899) as amended and extended by section 4 of the Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Ordinance 1907, (Ordinance No. 6 of 1907) shall, from and after the let. day of January, 1912, be exempt from duty.

Bank Notes and other obligations for the payment of money issued by the Chartered Bank of India, Australia and China in the Colony for local circulation and payable to bearer on demand issued and in actual circulation to an amount in excess of eight million dollars under the provisions of paragraph 11 of its sixth supplemental charter dated the first day of September, 1902, shall, from and after the 1st. day of January, 1912, be exempt

from duty.

Bank Notes and other obligations for the payment of Loney issued by the Mercantile Bank of India, Limited, in the Colony for local circulation and payable to bearer on demand issued and in actual circulation to an amount in excess of the capital of the said Bank actually paid up under the provisions of section 6 of tre Mercantile Bank Note Issue Ordinance, 1911, (Ordinance No. of 1911) shall, from and after the 1st. day of January, 1912, be

exempt from duty.
